Born in Sacramento, CA, Cecelia Perez, known artistically as Hey Ruca, is a distinguished visual artist and entrepreneur. In 2017, Cecelia embarked on a transformative journey to the San Francisco Bay Area, which became the foundation for her career in art.

Her passion for Chicano art and culture is vividly reflected in her illustrations, featuring elements such as lowriders, beautiful women, dreamy clouds and stars, city skylines, childhood interests, Motown song lyrics, and other Mexican American iconography. Her direct inspiration comes from her environment where she is surrounded by custom classic cars and creative Chicano artists. Not to mention the extraordinary views the Bay Area has to offer. The Pacifica beach front is occasionally her office.

Perez’s diverse portfolio includes collaborations with major brands and artists. She primarily works with digital art and acrylic on canvas.
